So many times in my career I have doubted myself. I’ve been faced with challenges I never saw coming, took the words “over-thinking” to an entirely new level and almost gave up on the one thing I had sacrificed everything for! Funny isn’t it?

People speak and they try to convince you that what you’re doing isn’t good enough! Someone wise told me – “If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.” Ever since then I ponder on those words every day even at the brink of wanting to throw in the towel. The fight is never easy! And I’m not going to sugar coat anything for you. But don’t give up! If it’s something you want, real bad, you can have it!

I attended Hillsongs Johannesburg on Sunday night and I was so affected by the speaker they had for the night. She spoke so much sense on miracles and how they can happen in our lives at any time we want them to. She spoke about how we need to ask God for the things we want.

It reads in Matthew 6:8

Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!

So then why do we need to ask God specifically what we want? When the Bible clearly says that He already knows?

Then it reads in Matthew 7:7-8

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

It’s simple! God wants us to ask for it! Just like He did in Mark 10:51

“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”

Although Jesus knew that this man was blind, He wanted the man to believe in faith and simply just ask for his miracle.

 This past week has been… Well… I’m not sure they’ve come up with the word yet to describe it… But it was terrible! I sat down with a good friend of mine and needed some of her profound wisdom. She told me something that I probably didn’t want to hear, but needed to hear it. She said, “You aren’t trying hard enough!” And she was right! If I really wanted it like I said I did, I would’ve had it by now. But all the more reason to get out there and prove to myself, over everyone else that I CAN do it, I CAN do all things through Christ who gives me strength and I CAN be whoever and whatever I want to be. I CAN OWN MY THRONE!
