Mustard is probably one of the most underrated colors, alongside the color Burgundy. It can take one item of that specified color to make your entire outfit pop! I mean, theres nothing better than walking into a room and the people around you know you put in the effort, when actually, its just something you threw on. I love my blacks, whites and grey’s but a pop of color does me good now and again – and my timeline, if I could say so myself.
This year is drawing to a blistering close, and it almost makes me feel a little nostalgic. This year has taught me so much about my own style, likes, dislikes and has taught me countless lessons which I have tried to share with you. If you’re reading this, I want to take this moment to sincerely thank you for the overwhelming support for my blog and brand over the past year. You read my long soppy stories and my emotional rollercoasters and I cannot thank you enough that you came along for the ride.
I’d like to call myself the Mustard Maven of 2016. Passing as much knowledge as I have onto you – my readers. There is still so much I have to do and achieve before this year is up, so don’t say goodbye just yet! I’m going to try and leave the soppy, sad, ‘goodbye 2016’ stories for my Christmas post but just want you to know, you will always have a friend in me, and I in you.
A year ago I barely knew who I was. I met people I thought could change my life, yet I had the power to do that all on my own. I realized that the path you take is determined only by you and with prayer you can cross bridges and fly over mountains. Always remember to surround yourself with people that are going to uplift you, and inspire you. Those that are going to push you and believe in your dreams just as much as you do. Ain’t nobody got time for negativity! You need to make yourself happy and in turn, you will be the oil into the lamps of the people who come in contact with you.
I’m not perfect. I may not have it all together. There are plenty times I just want to give up, but I wake up with a thankful heart. I grab every opportunity with open arms! I am that much more excited for 2017 and what it holds!
About my look
I almost forgot about this section. LOL. I’m going to say it again, how much I love this color. Especially paired with a blue jean. This entire look was hand picked off the rail at… Wait for it… Tally Weijl!
I went for a Latina look by pairing these large hoops, along with a twisted hair up-do. These sunnies gave the perfect compliment to the entire look. And like I always say on my Instagram – “You can make any outfit look great and chic with a good pair of sunnies!” My little fur-ball bag is a must this summer season and is perfect for a ladies night out. Any excuse to use Tally!
I must add, I’m not only in love with the brand, but the essence of which they relate their clothes to their buyers. Working with Tally Weijl this year has been one of the most life changing experiences for me, and I can proudly say that it owns at least 50% of my closet! #ThisIsNotAnAd LOL
Keep your eyes peeled because theres lots, lots more to come! 😀
